The US House of Representatives passed a measure this week to extend the ACA subsidies, and now it is up to the US Senate to hold a vote to extend the subsidies. Without the extension, the cost of healthcare will rise not only for those who utilize ACA plans (known as Pennie in Pennsylvania) but for others as when the number of uninsured individuals rises, so do healthcare costs for everyone. Tell Senators Fetterman and McCormick to call for a vote on the subsidies.
Sen Fetterman: 202.224.4254
Sen McCormick: 202.224.6324
***Leaving a voicemail counts for a lot. If you are feeling nervous or uncomfortable, you can leave a voicemail after hours!
Sample Script: "Hi, my name is [your name] and I'm calling from [your city]. I am urging Senator [Fetterman or McCormick] to support the three-year marketplace subsidy extension that just passed the House. These tax credits keep health coverage affordable for half a million Pennsylvanians."
If you have a personal experience with Pennie (ACA healthcare) make sure you share it!
