The Supreme Court rules on Louisiana v. Callais
Louisiana v. Callais is a redistricting case that went before the U.S. Supreme Court that focuses on the constitutionality of Louisiana’s congressional map. The court determined that Louisiana lawmakers improperly redistricted the state’s congressional map in 2024 when they added a second majority-Black district, following a decision about Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act (VRA) in Robinson v Landry.
