How does the program work?
Participants join regular virtual meetings where they collaborate on campaign strategy, track legislative progress, and plan advocacy efforts. Communication and updates are shared through email to keep participants informed and engaged throughout the process.
Program Participants:
Join monthly virtual meetings to discuss progress and strategize next steps
Host virtual and in-person meetings with legislators, stakeholders, other organizations and more to educate and gather support for the cause
Work collaboratively with legislators to gain support in the General Assembly
Take leadership roles in strategizing, organizing, and contacting legislators, nonprofits, and other stakeholders
Members of Vote16 PA have the opportunity to take an active role in the movement through experiences such as:
Research and policy education
Social media and communication campaigns
Meeting with legislators and decision-makers
Community outreach and storytelling
Partnering with nonprofits and advocacy organizations
Organizing events and civic engagement activities

Vote16PA empowers young people to build leadership skills, connect with changemakers, and be part of a growing movement to expand democracy in Pennsylvania
Participants must:
Be between the ages of 15-22
Be female or have lived female experience (trans, non-binary, gender fluid individuals are welcome!)
Live in the state of PA
Participants do not need to have prior experience with advocacy or policy – this is a learning experience for everyone, and we will do this work together!
