Michelle Wade

Dr. Michelle Wade is Associate Professor of Public Policy and Administration at West Chester University where she teaches courses in the Master and Doctor of Public Administration Programs.  She received a PhD in Political Science and a Graduate Certificate in Women’s Studies from Southern Illinois University.  Dr. Wade’s research interests focus on social equity and women in public policy and administration.  Her research has been published in The Urban Lawyer, Public Integrity, Advancing Women in Leadership, Politics, Groups, & Identities, American Politics Research, and PA Times.  Dr. Wade served as the Treasurer of the Women’s Caucus for Political Science from 2011-2023 and received the Jane Mansbridge Award for Service from the Caucus in 2015.  She has volunteered with the Fund since 2018 and currently serves on the Grantmaking and Governance Committees.  


Michelle is a native of Missouri and moved to Chester County with her husband in 2013.  In her free time, she likes to travel and go to museums.
