The Garage Community and Youth Center

The Garage was awarded a Gender Equity Grant for their partnership with Project Dignity, a Fund initiative equipping students to advocate for access to menstrual hygiene products within their school district. The Garage provides after school and youth development programs serving a diverse group of middle and high school students in Kennett Square and Avondale, with 86% of their participants identifying as Latino/a. For 40% of their population, neither parent graduated high school and 84% of students are eligible to receive free and reduced lunch based on familial income.
