Mom's House

Mom’s House of Phoenixville provides free state-licensed childcare, for low income, single parents while they are pursuing their full-time education.  Reshma Saujani, founder of Moms First, notes that 50% of Americans are in debt because of the cost of childcare.  If a single mother must earn an hourly wage of $53.01 to afford living in Chester County, she needs the childcare in order to work towards the career that can afford that wage.  Thanks to Mom’s House, single mothers have been able to obtain degrees in architecture, registered nursing, and elementary education and more, not only improving their financial well-being but also enhancing their contributions to our communities in Chester County.
