Yasmine Mustafa headlines the 18th Annual Making a Difference Luncheon Fundraiser

West Chester, PA (April 3, 2023) – Dynamic guest speaker Yasmine Mustafa, who grew up in Royersford, PA, will unite and inspire attendees in her keynote talk about her local roots, her path to adulthood, and her tech career at The Fund’s 18th Annual Making a Difference Luncheon fundraiser on Friday, May 5, 2023, at The Desmond Hotel in Malvern. Mustafa is fueled by a passion to leverage technology for good. She is a social entrepreneur, activist, and the founder of ROAR for Good @roarforgood, a company that creates wearable technology for personal safety. She is also the co-founder of Girl Develop It, a nonprofit organization that provides affordable technology classes to help women learn how to code in a safe, judgment-free zone. Mustafa has been recognized for her work by numerous organizations, including Forbes, CNN, and Philadelphia Magazine.

Bringing together community and civic leaders, professionals from the non-profit and business world, and government officials, the Making a Difference Luncheon is an annual fundraiser that supports The Fund for Women and Girls, a local nonprofit organization that advances women and girls in Chester County. The theme of this year’s Making a Difference Luncheon is Past, Present, and Funding the Future. Funds raised will support The Fund’s grantmaking and advocacy programs that ensure women and girls have resources and opportunities to thrive.

The luncheon will include the presentation of the 12th annual Kitchen Table Award to Loretta Perna of the Walk In kNowledge (WIN) program of the Kennett Consolidated School District, a woman who has made a significant impact in the community.
