Ignite Their Future, Invest in our Vision: Create Extraordinary Opportunities for Women and Girls

The Founders of Chester County Fund for Women and Girls talked around kitchen and coffee tables, while walking with strollers, and on the phone after their jobs and daily responsibilities were behind them. Their focus was clear – how to help women and girls and their families in Chester County. The end result was Chester County Fund for Women and Girls, now known as The Fund for Women and Girls, a local non-profit committed to igniting change in Chester County.

A Brother's Generosity Makes a Lasting Difference

Mr. Russell Duane II, a devoted family man and resident of Chester County, was a dedicated, longtime supporter of The Fund. In 2015, he spoke with staff and board leadership at The Fund about establishing the Bonnie Iselin Endowment Fund in memory of his sister, Margaretta (Bonnie) Iselin, who was a strong advocate for women’s rights. A few years later, The Fund was notified that he had also planned a generous portion of his estate to be gifted to The Fund.

“Mr. Duane wanted to foster change and knew he could trust The Fund to do so for future generations.”
