Announcement of Leadership Transition
Dear Fund Community,
We hope this message finds you well. We are writing to inform you of an important change in our leadership team.
Kim Andrews, Executive Director of The Fund for Women and Girls, has announced that she will step down from her position at the end of February. Over the past two years her thoughtful leadership allowed The Fund to learn, grow, and continue to advance the lives of women and girls in Chester County.
Kim’s accomplishments during her tenure include: overseeing the launch of our Fourth Edition Blueprint Report, completing and launching The Fund’s ambitious new Strategic Plan, “Advancing Equity, Amplifying Voices,” and envisioning our Empower Her Vote voter engagement initiative for 2024. During her leadership The Fund has awarded over $500,000 in grants.
We are thankful for Kim’s dedication to gender equity and The Fund’s mission to advance women and girls. We are grateful for her efforts, and we wish her the best in her future endeavors.
As we move forward, we are committed to maintaining the stability and effectiveness of our operations. Blake Emmanuel, our Director of Programs and Advocacy, will be stepping into the role of Interim Executive Director to ensure continuity and to minimize any potential disruptions. A transition committee and search team managed by the Board of Directors will oversee the selection of a new executive director.
We remain focused on our mission and objectives, and we are confident that with the support of our dedicated team and stakeholders like you, we will continue to achieve success. We wish to invite you to partner with us to continue pursuing The Fund’s mission by joining us at our Empower Her Vote mural rededication on Thursday, March 28th, at 10am and our 19th Annual Making a Difference Luncheon on Friday, May 3rd.
