A Devoted Advocate for Women and Girls

The Fund for Women and Girls honors the life and legacy of one of our most faithful boosters, Margaret “Peg” Scholl, who passed away on November 12, 2022.

A lifelong advocate for women and girls, Peg lived her values of curiosity, boldness, and a belief that families and communities benefit when women are supported. She remained one of our staunchest supporters over the years, not just as a generous donor, but as an engaged and vocal advocate for our mission, vision, and shared goals to improve the lives of women, girls, and families in Chester County.

Mary Ann Wagner, a founding board member of The Fund, fondly remembers the relationship she had with Peg at The Fund and beyond. “The Scholls and the Wagners had the privilege of raising our kids together for many years as neighbors. Peg was also a dear friend and she loved her association with The Fund.”

The world should be filled with people like Peg Scholl to help make things better for all. She was a woman who was warm, generous, full of life, and wholeheartedly committed to her family and community and she will be missed by so many.
